Can you think about musicians as speakers for your next event?

Ok! So today I´m gonna write in English ...

Martin is a marketing director of a big company in the moving fast consumer goods sector.
He reach to my office to say that his company wants to activate people by triggering their emotions and do more  business. I immediately think: "that´s cool!"

I say: You know, for me, the best way to touch people is through music. If you want to do it with meditation, painting, exotic experiences, health and welness, or wathever, you MUST HAVE music during these other activities. Just because music connect people's thoughts and feelings. And this is where the power of activation lives, when thoughts and feelings are tied. In today´s world, is not about who attend events, is about who engages.

In this hyper connected world I assure you there are people doing yoga sessions while thinking about budgets and reports and there are also a lot of people trying to focus their minds in some task but their feelings are drainning their energy and so the results are not the same at all.
Here is a tip for you: When planning your next event, think about finding a good balance for the participants to spend their energy during the day: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Achieving this balance the return of your investment will be much better.

Back to the story, Martin like my point and we agree that we´ll put all their invitees into a music festival scenario that will bring content, education, networking, and of course business, all the outcomes that a marketing director can expect from an event.
Instead of inviting them to a corporate meeting and hire some musicians and DJ´s to play in certain momments we decide to do the other way around. Let´s change the environment and bring business people together to this entertainment arena. And we are confident that the impact will be much bigger, specially when Sting shot his beautiful speech about Musicians and creativity. Powerful stuff! And way more engaging than another boring 45 minutes speech, so usual in corporate events.

Can you imagine this?
If you are a marketing director and you have an employee working on your your Creativity department who brings innovative ideas and campaigns as much as Sting composes new beautiful melodies and tunes year by year?

The magic will happen when Sting start playing Feels of Gold for the audience. They will never forget it. And Martin will get a promotion.
